Rovigo, February 25th, 2026 – Over 60 professionals from 27 companies collaborating with Adriatic LNG participated in the 2026 Contractor Safety Forum, the annual event dedicated to discussion and exchange on risk prevention and workplace safety.
The initiative brought together Adriatic LNG suppliers and contractors, gathering safety managers, technicians and executives for a morning focused on sharing experiences, best practices and common goals. It was an opportunity for dialogue aimed at further strengthening the culture of safety throughout the supply chain of the company which operates the regasification terminal located off the Veneto coast.
During the event, the new Operational Excellence and Active Safety campaign was presented, focusing on accident prevention through increased attention to everyday behaviors that can generate risks, such as routine actions, overconfidence, haste, distraction and failure to report.
Alfredo Balena, External Relations Director of Adriatic LNG stated: “The Contractor Safety Forum represents a valuable opportunity for us to engage with our suppliers on safety, the principle that guides all our activities: their involvement is essential to developing increasingly safe and efficient processes. Only through a shared safety culture and the constant commitment of everyone can we achieve what we define as ‘operational excellence,’ protecting people, safeguarding the environment and ensuring the reliability and performance of our terminal, a strategic infrastructure for the national energy system”.
A particularly appreciated moment was the edutainment session by Paolo Vergnani - journalist, psychologist and trainer with over 25 years of experience and among the pioneers of corporate theatre - who involved participants focusing on the value of an “active” approach to safety, based on awareness, continuous verification and attention to detail.
“Safety is built in the details: it is not only about achieving objectives, but about how we achieve them. That is why what we define as ‘active safety’ is essential: a mindset that goes beyond simply complying with rules, and instead means observing, verifying, engaging in dialogue and having the courage to stop when something does not feel right” - Balena concluded.
