Skating Rink Delle Rose Adriatic LNG a dream comes true

The “delle Rose Adriatic LNG” Skating Rink was unveiled on Saturday May 21st. The sport venue is managed by Skating Club Rovigo and entitled to Adriatic LNG, tireless supporter of many agonistic and amateur sport teams and events in Polesine.

The Skating Rink is an innovative and multi-purpose sports center, the first of its kind realized in Veneto Region. Thanks to its peculiarities, which allow to host European and world championships, it has become a point of reference for skating activities in the northeast of Italy.
The completion of works has allowed to build, next to the agonistic tracks, an auxiliary building with offices, changing rooms and a clubhouse on the first floor. Furthermore, the building is prearranged to host a gym on the second floor and it is surrounded by a green area with a children playground.

The “delle Rose Adriatic LNG” Skating Rink opens up its doors to the city to become a place of aggregation, physical exercise and relax for sports enthusiasts and families. Its multi-purpose platform cans hosts skating disciplines but also youth cycling, running and tambourine. In the future, it may be used for basketball, volleyball, handball and five-a-side footballs.

The opening ceremony was attended by Federico Saccardin, president of Skating Club Rovigo and Adriano Gambetta, Adriatic LNG Shore Base manager. Also other institutional representatives took part to the event: Cristiano Corazzari, councilor for Sport of Veneto Region who strongly supported this project attended the event, Massimo Bergamin, major of Rovigo and Sabatino Aracu, president of FIRS and FIHP, the Italian and World Skating Federation.
The opening ceremony ended with a guided visit to the venue, a photography exhibition and a spectacular inline skating performance of the athletes of the Skating Club Rovigo.

Adriatic LNG, as a company integrated in the territory, is honored to support and give its name to a world-class sport venue that represents a driving force in promoting Polesine.
