Regasification service offered by Adriatic LNG includes:
- Availability of terminal capacity
- Berthing of LNG carriers
- LNG unloading
- Storage
- Redelivery of regasified LNG at Cavarzere, entry point into the Italian National Grid.
Every year during the months of June and July, Adriatic LNG offers its capacity for mid- and long-term periods (up to ten years) and, on a monthly basis, the infra-annual capacity (e.g. until the end of the thermal year).

Infra-Annual Capacity Subscription process
Terminale GNL Adriatico ("the Operating Company" or "Adriatic LNG") makes available during the Auction Procedure, for the subscription of the Infra-Annual Capacity, according to the Implementing Auction Rules for Infra-Annual Capacity Allocation and to the Regasification Code, chapter II article 2.4) comma 2 point b) α), the following Available Capacity1:

This publication in conjunction with conditions published under the Regasification Code and the Implementing Auction Rules for Infra-Annual Capacity Allocation, are an integral and substantial part of the capacity offer under the Auction Procedure, for the subscription of the Infra-Annual Capacity.
With reference to the auction procedure, it will be necessary to use the MODULO DI OFFERTA UNICO where indicate the Unloading Slot/(s) you intend to make an Offer/(s).
1) The Available Capacity for the Thermal Year 2021-2022 starting from 1 (first) April 2022 will be subject to Annual Subscription Procedure, so-called Open Season , pursuant to Chapter II of Article 2.4.2 a).
2) The definition of the products is carried out following the finalization of the Annual Delivery Plan referred to in Chapter II, art. 3.2 of the Regasification Code.
3) The start and end dates of each Unloading Slot in the period January-March 2022 will be defined starting from the month of October 2021, in the context of the Quarterly Planning referred to in Chapter II article 3.3 of the Regasification Code.
In January 2022 - based on the provisions of the Annual Plan referred to in Chapter II, article 3.2 of the Regasification Code, the Annual Plan will be finalized for the period April-December 2022.
As an example: In the month of October 2021 the Terminal Users program the Slots for the quarter November 2021-January 2022. Afterwards, in the month of November 2021 the Terminal Users program the Slots for the quarter December 2021-February 2022 and in the month of December 2021 the Users of the Terminal program the Slots for the quarter January-March 2022.
The distribution of the Slots within the Quarterly and Annual Planning, favors the regularity of the deliveries by each User and the maximization of the utilization of the Terminal Capacity, in compliance with the criterion of non-discrimination of the Users, in accordance with the provisions of the article 10.4 of the TIRG implemented by the article 3.1 of Chapter II of the Regasification Code.
4) Volumes defined in order to maximize the utilization of Available Capacity and defined following reasonable analyzes of operating conditions of the Terminal, at the time of publication. For clarity, volumes up to 152.000m3liq, are not binding for the subsequent allocation according to the criteria of first come first served .
5) In order to optimize the utilization of the Terminal Capacity, it is understood that for the Unloading Slots available (i.e. unallocated) in the next auction procedures, the Operating Company reserves the possibility of increasing the Available Capacity (e.g. up to 217.000 m3liq in Slot of 84hours and/or 96hours duration where, in this publication, the available Capacity is up to 145.000 m3liq, 152.000m3liq or 175.000m3liq) in consideration of the operating conditions at the time of publication of the Available Capacity.

1/03/2021 Adriatic LNG informs that following the success of the Infra-Annual Capacity Available allocation process for the current Thermal Year, all the Infra-Annual Capacity available for this Thermal year has been allocated. Then, the allocation procedures are suspended up to the publication of the Infra-Annual Capacity available for Thermal Year 2021- 2022 and/or up to any Capacity releases.
The Capacity made available for subscription will be promptly published on the Electronic Communication System and all the operators who have declared an interest for this capacity will be contacted.

23/12/2020 Infra-Annual Subscripion process: UPDATE related to the Auction whose deadline is 28th December 2020 Following the warning of many operators regarding the calendar of public holidays in some countries and with the aim of maximizing competition in the auction’s participation, for the benefit of the security of supplies and liquidity of the gas market in Italy, the deadline for sending the Offer related to the Available Capacity, during the Auction Procedure for the Subscription of the Infra-Annual Capacity referred to in the Transitional Auction Regulations and in Article 2.4.2 b) α) of Chapter II of the Code Regasification, for the auction, initially scheduled for Monday 28 December 2020, is postponed to Tuesday 29th December 2020, at 14:30 CET. Adriatic LNG announces that in August 2022 a plant shutdown for maintenance is scheduled with no availability of the regasification capacity (i.e. no gas redelivery) for a total duration of around 27 days and unavailability of the unloading slots for a total period of around 30 days.
This notice is based on the information available to date, any update will be published in due time.
This notice is an announcement of scheduled unavailability pursuant to Implementing Regulation (EU) no. 1348/2014 of 17 December 2014 (Implementing Regulation) and Regulation (EU) no. 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 25 October 2011, concerning the integrity and transparency of the wholesale energy market.

The calendar displays the unloading slots allocated and available for subscription in the year 2021 (*), pursuant to Article 3, Chapter II of the Regasification Code. (*) Some slots may be cancelled in case there are technical needs.
30/07/2020 Adriatic LNG informs that considering the relaxation of the restrictions in place with lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the restarting of various production activities is allowed with the relative availability of contractors, including international ones, to provide several maintenance activities on the off shore terminal. These activities will be always carried out in full compliance with the safety measures provided for by current legislation. The maintenance plan scheduled for August 2020 has been consequently updated. It foresees a shut down period with zero send out from 4rd to 14th of August and a reduction of the available capacity to 2 Slots (i.e additional Slots unavailable in August vs last publication: 17-20 and 25-28 August 2020, equal to a total unavailable capacity in August of 580.000m3 liq, or approximately 354 million Sm3. The following Slot is available: 13-16 August 2020.

RULES AND PROCEDURE FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION OF THE INFRANNUAL CAPACITY

The available capacity for subscription is published on Adriatic LNG website.
The main way of allocating the infra-annual capacity is by auction.
The infra-annul capacity not allocated through auction that satisfies the criteria to qualify as Spot Capacity is allocated according to the first come first served criteria at the tariff published on the Adriatic LNG website.
Please note that the User of the Infra-annual Capacity can also have access to the Flexibility Service by participating in the corresponding allocation process.
I. Auction Procedure for Infra-annual capacity subscription
There are 3 steps:

1) Any interested party in participating at the Infra-Annual allocation capacity procedure has to satisfy the following participation requirements according to the Regasification Code as adopted in article 4 of the Implementing Auction Rules for Infra-Annual Capacity allocation (“Implementing Auction Rules”) following the conditions there indicated and deliver to the Operating Company: i. The Form of Commitments signed by the legal representative; and ii. Bid Bond |

2) The reserve prices of the capacity offered in the context of the auctions procedures for the subscription of the Infra-Annual Capacity are defined, as appropriate (i) by the Operating Company and delivered to a public notary before the auction takes place or (ii) by the User that makes the capacity available according to the criteria defined at comma 1 of article 7 letters b) or c) of the TIRG

3) Transmission of the offers
a) Auction offers must be sent to the Operating Company to the certified email (PEC) terminale.gnl.adriatico_mercato@pec.it using the Offer Form from hours 10.30 to hours 14.30 CET of the day of the auction. The auction calendar for each Year is published and updated by Adriatic LNG on its website. b) The Offer sent to the Operating Company is binding, unconditional, irrevocable and valid until 18.00 of the fourth (4th) Working Day following the day of the auction to which the Auction Offer is referred.

4) Results and signature of the Capacity Agreement a) By 5.00 pm of the Day of the Auction, the Operating Company informs each Participant of the results of the session in which a purchase offer was made, in accordance with the provisions of the Regasification Code and The Implementing Auction Rules for Infra-Annual Capacity allocation. b) Following the allocation of the Unloading Slots, according to the criteria defined in the Regasification Code and Implementing Auction Rules, the successful bidder will send to the Operating Company within 2 Working Days from the closure of the auction procedure (i) the Regulated Capacity Contract or the Spot Capacity Contract according to the cases, duly signed and (ii) the guarantees referred to in Article 10 of Chapter III of the Regasification Code. The delivery will take place by sending the documentation to the PEC address terminale.gnl.adriatico_mercato@pec.it and must be signed by a legal representative. The digital submission must be followed by the original sending of the guarantee. |

The contents of the Access Request, the allocation criteria and the Access Conditions are provided in the applicable legislation and in the Regasification Code. The Regasification Code is an integral part of the Capacity Agreement. The Regasification Code verified by the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment with Resolution no. Arg / Gas 57/11 and subsequent updates is available at the following link: Regasification Code of the Adriatic LNG Terminal.
II. Allocation of the Infra – Annual Capacity through the first come first served criteria.
If, at the end of the auction procedure, all the Spot Capacity has not been allocated, the Operating Company makes available for subscription and allocates the Available Spot Capacity according to the temporal order of receipt of the Access Requests (“first come first served").
1) Prices of the Spot Capacity offered in the context of the “first come first served” procedure as per comma 6 of article 6 of TIRG are published by the Operating Company on the Electronic Communication System, according to comma 7 of article 6 of the TIRG.
2) Access Requests for the Spot Capacity will be sent to the Operating Company to the PEC address terminale.gnl.adriatico_mercato@pec.it, every day from 8.00 to 17.00 starting from the day following the closing day of the auction Procedure and up to the 5th (fifth) Working Day before the Scheduled Arrival Range of each Unloading Slot for the Spot Capacity. All documentation sent to the Operating Company via PEC must be signed using a Qualified Electronic Signature Certificate (FEQ) in PADES format or, alternatively, another similar tool and suitable for meeting the same requirements that will be assessed by the Operating Company at its unquestionable judgment.
3) The Access Requests will be binding, irrevocable and unconditional until 17.01 CET on the second Working Day following the transmission of the documentation via PEC, pursuant to the Regasification Code.
4) The Operating Company will notify the Applicants of the results including any acceptance within 17.00 CET on the day following the day of receipt of the Access Request. Following the Acceptance of the Access Request, the successful bidder will send to the Operating Company to the PEC address terminale.gnl.adriatico_mercato@pec.it no later than 2 (two) Working Days the Spot Capacity Contract duly signed by a legal representative and the guarantees referred to in article 10 of the chapter III of the Regasification Code. The digital submission must be followed by the original sending of the guarantee.

Deviation in excess on contractual / scheduled / discharged volumes –for Thermal Year 2021/2022
Adriatic LNG provides that, similarly to the provisions for Spot Users (ref. Chap. III art. 8.12.1 letter b) of the Regasification Code) and to maximize the utilization of the Available Capacity, a deviation in excess of the volume of LNG per Slot subscribed may be allowed by the Operating Company to Continuous Users under conditions.
1) Foreseeable deviations and timing for the request:
1.1) Deviation up to 10 (ten)% of the volume of LNG subscribed of a single Slot ("Deviation 10%"), shall be requested by the User at the latest by the fifth (5) business day prior to the start of the Unloading Slot.
1.2) Deviation of more than 10 (ten)% of the volume of LNG subscribed of a single Slot ("Extra Deviation") shall be requested by the User no later than the 16th (sixteen) day of the Month preceding the Month of Unloading.
2) Conditions:
The conditions to be met to grant the Deviation 10% or the Extra Deviation are:
- no effects on the Subscribed Capacity and / or Redelivery of other Users; and / or
- no effects on the Flexibility Service subscribed by the Users of the Flexibility Service; and / or
- compatibility with the safe and reliable Terminal operations; and / or
- compliance with the Regulations.
The Operating Company will assess whether or not the aforementioned conditions are satisfied and will provide feedback to the User.
3) Charges:
3.1) Deviation 10%, the following charges apply:
a) on the contractual quantity of LNG: the allocation price;
b) on the quantity of LNG (lcm) exceeding the contractual quantity of LNG within the limit of 10%: the allocation price.
The charges a) and b) will be invoiced without prejudice to the other costs provided for in the Regasification Code.
The reference volume for the purpose of determining the charge will be the greater value between the last scheduled quantity of LNG per article 3.3 of Chapter II of the Regasification Code and the quantity of LNG unloaded.
3.2) Extra Deviation, the following charges apply cumulatively:
a) on the contractual quantity of LNG: the allocation price;
b) on the quantity of LNG (lcm) exceeding the contractual quantity of LNG: the allocation price + 10 (ten)% of the cqs fee approved by ARERA and published by the Operating Company, for example:
- Until December 31st, 2021 included: 2,552 € / m3 LNG;
- From January 1st, 2022 to December 31st, 2022 : 2,628 €/m3 GNL.
c) opportunity cost of the unavailability and allocation costs of the Flexibility Service (valued from time to time, communicated by the Operating Company to the User at the time of the feedback on the request for an Extra Deviation and applied to all Users in the same conditions) within the limits of the maximum tariff for the ancillary service.
4) Technical deviation in excess:
Pursuant to the Regasification Code, the User shall provide a schedule that is the best estimate in good faith of the quantity of LNG that will be actually Unloaded no later than the 16th (sixteenth) day of the Month preceding the Month of Unloading.
4.1) During the Unloading phase, a technical deviation up to a maximum value of 3 (three)% will be allowed, applicable to the last scheduled volume of LNG per article 3.3 of Chapter II of the Regasification Code, if compatible with the technical requirements of the Terminal ("Technical deviation") and must be duly and promptly justified by the User. The Unloading of a quantity of LNG higher than the Technical deviation shall be requested by the User per points 1.1 or 1.2 above and is not permitted without the positive feedback of the Operating Company
4.2) A User who has been allowed a Deviation 10% and unloads LNG beyond the threshold of the Technical deviation must pay the charges provided for the Extra Deviation on the whole quantity in excess from the last scheduled quantity per article 3.3 of Chapter II of the Regasification Code without prejudice to the other costs referred to in the Regasification Code
The terms referred to in this communication have the meaning attributed to them in the Regasification Code.

Clarifications on contractual / scheduled / discharged volumes – deviation in excess for Thermal Year 2020/2021
Adriatic LNG clarifies that, for Thermal Year 2020/2021 only, similarly to the provisions for Spot Users (ref. Chap. b) on the quantity of LNG (lcm) exceeding the contractual quantity of LNG: the allocation price + 10 (ten)% of the cqs fee approved by the Authority and published by the Operating Company equal to 2.552 (two points five hundred and fifty two) € / m3 LNG;
c) opportunity cost of the unavailability and allocation costs of the Flexibility Service (valued from time to time, communicated by the Operating Company to the User at the time of feedback on the request for an Extra Deviation and applied to all Users in the same conditions) within the limits of the maximum tariff for the ancillary service.
Furthermore, it is kindly reminded and underlined that:
- pursuant to the Regasification Code, the User shall provide a schedule that is the best estimate in good faith of the quantity of LNG that will be actually Unloaded no later than the 16th (sixteenth) day of the Month preceding the Month of Unloading.
- During the Unloading phase, a technical deviation up to a maximum value of 5 (five)% will be allowed, applicable to the last scheduled volume of LNG, if compatible with the technical requirements of the Terminal ("Technical deviation"). The Unloading of a quantity of LNG higher than the last quantity of LNG scheduled within/ or beyond the Technical deviation must be duly and promptly justified by the User.
- A User who has been allowed a Deviation 10% and unloads LNG beyond the threshold of the Technical deviation must pay the charges provided for the Extra Deviation without prejudice to the other costs referred to in the Regasification Code.
The terms referred to in this communication have the meaning attributed to them in the Regasification Code.
